Advanced Charging Technologies (ACT) Expands National Accounts Team

La Mirada, California, May 26, 2017 — Advanced Charging Technologies (ACT) is pleased to announce the addition of two new National Accounts Directors to its growing sales team: John Castner and Steve Munton. ACT has experienced tremendous growth across North America (including Canada and Mexico) since the launch of the Quantum Chargers and fully-integrated product suite in 2016. The new additions to the sales team will enable ACT to continue to lead the evolving material handling industry with its data-driven solutions for motive power asset management.

John Castner is a 30-year consultative sales veteran whose background includes specialization in the lighting and electrical industry. Castner’s previous national account and sales management experience will be a strong asset in leading ACT’s growing team. Most recently, Castner was the National Account Director for Dialight, a leading manufacturer of LED luminaires for heavy industrial and hazardous locations. Castner received his undergraduate degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles, and has an Executive MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine.

Steve Munton has more than 20 years of experience in the material handling industry, focused on sales and leadership and specialized in electric systems and energy efficiency implementation. Prior to ACT, Munton held the role of Head of Sales for the Advanced Systems group of EnerSys (EAS) and the Warehouse Products and Specialty Group of the largest independent lift truck dealer, Pon Material Handling. In 2007, Munton launched the Internal Combustion Vehicle Conversion Program for EnerSys, now called Convert2Electric. Munton is an alumnus of Northern Illinois University and also a Non-Commissioned Officer, having served in the Middle East and Balkans on board U.S. Navy Aircraft carriers U.S.S. Saratoga and U.S.S. America as an F-14 Tomcat Aviation Avionics Technician with EAWS Certification.
